How to read a towel specification

A useful towel brief starts with the end use. A face towel, bath towel and kitchen cloth require different dimensions, handling and packaging. The product name alone cannot define the finished article.

Read the fields in order

Material describes the stated fiber composition. Size is listed in centimeters where the source sheet supplies it. Weight is shown as provided and should not automatically be treated as GSM. Colors and packing appear only when supplied in the original record.

• Use and product type set the format.
• Material, size and weight shape the physical sample.
• Color, branding and packing complete the buyer brief.

For an OEM project, add label placement, color direction, estimated order quantity and the destination market. A physical sample should be approved before bulk production details are finalized.
